Race Relations Day
For Race Relations Say we came to school dressed in outfits from our culture. Rm. 12 enjoyed discussing and modelling their outfits to celebrate the range of countries and cultures we come from. Check out our photos below!

Making posters with our Buddy Class
This term, our focus is on 'belonging.' Rm. 12 brainstormed all the ways in which we belong at school and helped our buddies to photograph some of these places; to make posters on Pic Collage. Here we are working with Rm. 1 - our posters are up in the classroom if you'd like to check them out!
Swimming
This term Rm. 12 is booked for 6 swimming lessons at the Papatoetoe Pools. We really look forward to our sessions and have been learning a lot of new skills, and about keeping safe near the water.

Friday Maths with our Buddy Class
Rm. 12 has had a great start to 2018! One thing that we really enjoy doing is working with our buddy class, Rm. 1, on fun learning experiences.
In maths, Rm. 12 had been learning about fractions and Rm. 1 had been learning about symmetry. We combined our knowledge to cut shapes in halves, thirds, quarters, sixths and eights in order to create symmetrical patterns.
