Making Bread

Last week we made bread with Whaea Paea. Whaea mixed all the ingredients then we helped her roll the bread into balls. We cooked the bread for ten minutes. While the bread buns was still warm, we put some butter and jam on them. They tasted delicious! We have enjoyed having Whaea Paea teaching us lots about Maori culture. Thank you Whaea Paea.  We wish you all the best for your new job. We will miss you next year!

Swimming

Room 12 have been having swimming lessons at the Papatoetoe Pools and we love it!  Rayya's mum took some photos of us today. Thank you Mrs Haroon.

Ancient Egypt

This term we have been learning about Ancient Egypt.  We made posters with some facts about ancient Egypt.

The PCS Book Parade

Today we had a book parade. Some of the children dressed up as book characters. Can you guess what characters we are?

Tui Art

Last term we drew some lovely pictures of the Tui. We coloured our pictures with pastel then painted them with dye.

We then wrote a haiku to describe the Tui.

The Pacifika Showcase

The Kaiviti Stars!

BULA!

In term 1 the Kaivit Stars performed at the PCS Pacifika Showcase. They did an awesome job and we were very proud of them. The Kakariki children also sang a song that Mr Duncan wrote. It was called 'Bula Fiji'. Thank you Mr Duncan.
